I didn't even know he had the fish, but barely heard him in the distance saying " I think if it was a red it would be over sized".

How I could miss somebody landing a 29" fish I don't know, but it was during the Griffon Tournament and we were all spread out fairly far. Mike Foster, fishing with the Joel Hebert crew, stuck his personal best on a black Top Dog about mid morning in knee deep water.

We had a blast, but the tournament just wasn't meant to be for us. We had a good trout sack but the big reds we had been on for weeks didn't play. We dogged every single big red we hooked this day, which were few.

This fish did take 2nd place trout for the event, edged out by a good fish from Capt. Terry Neal's boat. Good job Mike.
