Here's James Garner again with a nice summer trout.

I wrote an article (last year I think) called "Spoils on the Spoils". It was about finding treasure where it wasn't supposed to be, such as here in just a few inches of hot water during a mid-summers day.

Many myths abound concerning trout and their habits. A lot of your larger fish avoid predation by going shallow, even when it's hot. Don't be skeered of those bathtub-like conditions, nor the mere 2" of visibility. If it makes sense that some good fish should be present....fish for them!

It's the hunt...not the kill. Another "good" fish released to hopefully become a "great" fish.
