We caught a lot of excellent redfish this day working tails, floating Corkies, and some topwaters about knee-deep. Here's Brent Goyens, who decided to walk out of the foray and probe another color line change. Brent started sticking quite a few nice trout on his plum/chartreuse Bass Asassin, including this healthy specimen which he released.
If you weren't right on it though you missed everything. We had a great session, but two other groups of nearby fishermen basically blanked. It spurred the topic for the May article in Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine (TSFM) titled "Fifty-Yards Off". If you're off - you're just off, and therein lies a big part of this game we play.
Good day, great people, fun fishing.
